There is a growing body of evidence that our diet is related to our health in both the short and long term. Health problems are not only due to being overweight or underweight, but also to the right diet and the right ratio.
A third to a half of our diet consists of starchy foods such as bread. Our diet should contain a lot of fruits and vegetables.
Bread is an important source of many nutrients, not just fiber.
Bread contains calcium, iron, the B vitamins niacin and thiamin as well as other micronutrients.
